| Major Responsibilities
Build upon and develop sustainability strategy for Oakleaf
o Develop and manage an internal Green Team
o Work with Sales, Client Services and Account Managers to train on operational and marketing aspects
o Close collaboration with Vendor Relations and Marketing
o Support and expand sustainability services across all Oakleaf companies (IEM, Valet Waste, Wasteless Environmental, Greenleaf)
Client facing activities to up-sell existing customers and engage potential customers
o Support to Sales Team in preparation and meetings with clients
o Engage and develop relationships with Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Executives of client companies
Enhance OAKLEAF reputation externally
o Engage stakeholders at the national and state level (vendors, new end markets, regulatory staff)
o Participate and present at conferences (NRC, other environmental & sustainability conferences)
Significant travel will be required (> 50%?)
Marketing Skills
Excellent communications skills and presentation skills
Proven sales achievements
Proven record in developing and selling of a new service/concept/offering
Ability to deliver the sustainability concept and value proposition to a broad range of individuals (client sustainability and purchasing contacts, Oakleaf current vendors, and internal Oakleaf staff)
Participate in relevant trade organizations; outreach to top-tier consultancies and relevant non-profit organizations; highlight sustainability benefits to investor relations
Operational skills
Broad knowledge of Solid Waste and Recycling Industry
Understanding and ability to integrate technical aspects of diversion and zero waste strategies to clients zero waste goals
Understanding of end markets for recycled commodities, single stream, waste to energy and ability to translate the environmental impacts and benefits of these alternative options
Develop and maintain consistent reporting metrics for all clients
Managerial skills
Proven managerial experience
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to interface across multiple client sectors (from retail to industrial) and internal departments (marketing, vendor relations, client services, account management)
